Byron Bay Microlights and Airborne Australia offer overseas pilots visiting Australia exciting and enjoyable advanced cross country flight experience on your adventure holidays.
You are invited to join us on a flight tour to some of the most renowned, picturesque places that Australia has to offer. We all share a fascination for just flying. Exploring unique and remote destinations in Australia will enhance that even further while improving your x-country ability.
We offer you the chance to achieve this with like minded pilot-travellers, in comfort and with the convenience of a guided tour. At your disposal, you will have a fully airworthy aircraft, Airborne XT-912 with an instructor in the back seat.
As a pilot in command, you will fly in a small group with an instructor who is familiar with the places, local conditions and who will assist your safe flying. We will plan the trip, supply ground support, and other logistics and provide daily weather briefings. You will visit all the best and little known places and we will ensure that you have a great time.
For those whose family, friends or a partner wish to accompany you on the trip, they can travel by bus (ground support vehicle) or as a microlight passenger by alternating your seat on selected parts of the journey. The tours are aimed at overseas pilots. However Australian pilots, owners of XT-912 aircraft, are also welcome to book.
For group bookings special requirements can be accommodated with a price adjustment.

DEPARTURES
Tours will commence from November 2009 and will run on a regular basis. The proposed date for the first tour from Sydney to Fraser Island is 14 Nov 2009.
However as flying is weather dependent itineraries may need to be adjusted accordingly.
For example, on the Blue Australia East Coast Safari the intended route is from Sydney northwards to Fraser Island. However if the weather forecast is not favourable an alternative route, from the above menu will be taken instead.
