Above Sydney and Surrounds - November 2008
Sydney is a city of colour and light. The blue water which houses the majestic arch of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the gleaming sails of the Opera House, and the secluded sandy coves and beaches make this city a superb location for photography. In Above Sydney, photographer Richard Tabaka takes to the sky to capture the city day and night. His stunning pictures expose this Pacific jewel’s heart and soul. - New Holland

It took seven months to complete the photography for the book. I was flying my Airborne XT-912 microlight from September 2007 to March 2008 frequently interrupted by bad weather. The aerodromes at Wedderburn, The Oaks, Katoomba and Somersby became my temporary homes for a number of weeks. Flying in Sydney’s busy air space was a good experience and a great adventure.

The book is distributed by leading bookstores across Australia. It can also be purchased directly from Byron Bay Microlights for $40 plus $15 postage and handling in Australia.
