Bluesfest Overhead Flights — 5-9 April 2012, Tyagarah

The  Bluesfest site at Tyagarah, opened in 2010, was welcomed by everyone. Following positive feedback from artists, spectators and various businesses, festival organizers are looking forward to hosting many more Bluesfests at its permanent home.

It is the perfect place to hold the Festival, and can cater for over 17,000 Festival visitors daily  and 6,000 campers over the entire weekend.

Would you like the opportunity to  view  the actual grounds with performance stages, licensed bars, undercover food halls and the layout of the festival from above?   By taking our 'Fly Over the Blues’ microlight flight you can see  the sheer size of the event. It takes  5-10 minutes flight  from the neighbouring airfield at Tyagarah. The aircraft offers an unobstructed view of the site and will be a  great addition to your musical experience.

The Byron Bay Winter Whales Ocean Swim Classic  -  6 May 2012, Byron Bay

         

The Winter Whales Ocean Swim has now over 1,700 participants with numbers continuing to rise every year. The Beach Hotel Ocean Swim Classic is 2.2 km swim from Watego’s Beach to Main Beach, Byron Bay. The swimmers swim a buoyed course from the start area, around The Pass, and across the Bay to Main Beach. For more information see Winter Whales website.

Flight are available on the 6th of May from 8:00am until 1:30pm.  The meeting point and take off are at Tyagarah airfield, north from Byron.
